We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dispensing Optician to join the confidential practice team in South West London . This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to work in a dynamic and patient-focused practice, delivering exceptional optical care and advice. You'll play a vital role in providing tailored eyewear solutions while ensuring the highest standards of customer service. Job specification - Interprete prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists to select appropriate lenses and frames for patients. - Advise patients on lens options, coatings, and other features to meet their visual needs and lifestyle preferences. - Fit and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure comfort, optimal vision, and alignment with the patient's prescription. - Take accurate measurements, including pupillary distance and facial measurements, to ensure proper lens alignment and fit. - Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance, including cleaning techniques, and storage guidelines. Candidate requirements - Must have attained a full-time diploma which was followed by working under supervision for a year. - Must be registered as an optician by the General Optical Council (GOC). - Must attain a three-year distance learning qualification offered by ABDO (Association of British Dispensing Opticians). - Must have at least a minimum of two years of working experience as an optician in the United Kingdom. - Fashion-forward individuals with a keen interest in eyewear trends and styling, capable of guiding clients in their eyewear selections. - Experienced professionals from the independent optical sector who are poised, personable, and proficient in delivering exceptional client service.
