As the Optical Supervisor, you will support the Store Manager in achieving business goals, maintaining clinical standards, and fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Job specification - Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. - Analyse performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement. - Assist in recruiting, training, and developing staff to deliver outstanding performance. - Drive additional revenue by promoting premium services and products. - Ensure all equipment, including the Optomap system, is properly maintained and utilized. - Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and standards, including clinical, operational, and customer service excellence. - Ensure every customer receives a tailored and professional service throughout their journey. - Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring the availability of essential products. - Oversee daily store operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization. - Promote the use of advanced technology (e.g., Optomap, OCT) to enhance customer experience, with a focus on contact lens services for 2025. - Provide day-to-day support, coaching, and feedback to ensure team motivation and engagement. Candidate requirements - Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within an optical environment. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team. - Proficiency in using advanced optical technologies, such as OCT and Optomap, is desirable. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving retail environment.
