Job specification - Collaborate with care home staff, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. - Conduct comprehensive eye examinations in a domiciliary setting, using portable diagnostic equipment to assess patients' vision and detect eye conditions. - Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and adhere to professional standards for patient safety and care delivery. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including examination results, prescriptions, and treatment plans. - Prescribe corrective lenses and advise patients on appropriate eyewear, including glasses and contact lenses, tailored to their individual needs. - Provide pre-and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, ensuring clear communication about their treatment and recovery. - Travel to various locations across East London to deliver flexible, high-quality eye care to patients who cannot attend a traditional optometry practice. - Work alongside a fully trained optical assistant, who will set up the clinic and complete all paperwork, ensuring a smooth and efficient service. Role scope
