Job specification - Adhere to all relevant healthcare guidelines, ensuring best practices in every aspect of patient care. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver well-rounded patient care. - Diagnose and treat a variety of eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. - Perform in-depth eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to assess vision and identify eye conditions. - Prescribe and customize eyewear, including glasses and contact lenses, to meet individual patient needs. - Provide essential care before and after eye surgeries, ensuring patients' recovery and ongoing eye health. Candidate requirements - Must have a Doctor of Optometry degree. - Must have a valid state license to practice Optometrist in the United Kingdom. - Candidates must be registered under a regulatory body such as the General Optical Council. - Skillset: Adeptness in identifying and effectively handling a wide range of eye-related conditions and disorders. - Flexibility: Being available for locum positions throughout the year, with the ability to embrace intermittent shifts or extended blocks of work. - Mobility: Ability to be able to travel to different practices within Surrey.
