Job specification - Assist optometrists by performing pre-testing and preparing patients for examinations. - Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses accurately based on optometrists' prescriptions. - Educate patients on various lens options and eyewear care to enhance their visual experience. - Ensure all optical equipment and the dispensary area are clean, well-maintained, and up to health and safety standards. - Maintain and manage patient records, including prescriptions and transactions. - Manage the optical shop's inventory, ensuring a wide selection of frames and lenses are available. - Provide personalized customer service to ensure patient satisfaction and loyalty. - Repair, adjust, and fit eyewear to ensure comfort and proper alignment. Candidate requirements - Must have attained a full-time diploma which was followed by working under supervision for a year. - Must be registered as an optician by the General Optical Council (GOC). - Must have a minimum of two years of working experience as an optician in the United Kingdom. - Ability to multi-task and work with delicate tools and materials.
