Job specification - Provide high-quality optical services, including dispensing spectacles and contact lenses. - Conduct thorough patient assessments to ensure accurate measurements and comfortable fittings. - Offer expert advice on frame selection, lenses, and optical products based on patient needs and preferences. - Ensure that patients receive the best possible optical care, addressing any concerns or queries they may have. - Maintain accurate patient records and managed stock levels for optical supplies. - Work closely with the rest of the optical team to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery. Candidate requirements - Must have attained a full-time diploma which was followed by working under supervision for a year. - Must be registered as an optician by the General Optical Council (GOC). - Must attain a three-year distance learning qualification offered by ABDO (Association of British Dispensing Opticians). - Must have a minimum of two years of working experience as an optician in the United Kingdom. - Must be available to travel at any point in time. - Ability to make decisions and have some knowledge of sales and inventory management. - Must be caring, compassionate, approachable, empathetic, and understanding.
