Job specification - Dispense spectacles and contact lenses according to patient prescriptions. - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, ensuring accurate measurements and a perfect fit. - Provide expert advice on frame selection, lenses, and optical products based on individual patient needs. - Manage patient records, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date. - Offer excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction. - Collaborate with the optical team to ensure smooth clinic operations. Candidate requirements - Must have attained a full-time diploma which was followed by working under supervision for a year. - Must be registered as an optician by the General Optical Council (GOC). - Must attain a three-year distance learning qualification offered by ABDO (Association of British Dispensing Opticians). - Must have a minimum of two years of working experience as an optician in the United Kingdom. - Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Must be well-trained and certified personnel in fitting contact lenses. - Must have excellent attention to detail, particularly for interpreting prescriptions and checking lenses.
